Vinie Wolf was raised in her parents' resturant business, Ed's Cafe, owned by Ed and Alvina Veitenheimer in the small town of Windthorst, Texas. At age 10 she started learning the hidden secrets of cooking the old fashion way. She started by making homeade pies and homeade bread. Her cooking skills quickly led her to become very experienced in the kitchen.

While helping her husband, Bill Wolf, manage their dairy business, Vinie thought of venturing out with her own business. The idea came to her when she realized everyone in the town of Windthorst loved her cinnamon rolls and homeade bread.
